Details. He notes that over the year, in the face of full-scale russian aggression, "important experience has been gained that gives clues on how to strengthen the Ministry." The Minister says that he has invited new people to join the team of the Ministry.

In accordance with the procedure, he has submitted the candidates for the positions to the President of Ukraine for approval, after which the Government should approve them.

"The candidacy of the Hero of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk has been submitted for the position of First Deputy Minister. Gen. Pavliuk is well aware of the issues of modern warfare and the needs of our army, and has the necessary leadership and management skills. There will be even more synergy in cooperation with the General Staff," the minister says.

Mr. Reznikov has invited a volunteer with experience in the IT sphere, and most recently a documentary journalist, Vitaliy Deyneha, to the post of Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization.

"Modern warfare requires new approaches. The digital development sector is one of the areas where Ukraine is capable of a breakthrough and can create new standards for the world. We need a fresh look, a broad outlook and the ability to integrate the capabilities of the state, business and the public sector," the minister explains.

In addition, Andriy Shevchenko, a media personality who has successful experience in the Parliament and at the position of Ukraine's ambassador to Canada, has been invited to the post of Deputy Minister for European Integration.

According to Mr. Reznikov, communication with international partners, lawmakers and Ukrainian society, as well as the introduction of new standards in the defence sector, are among the priorities.

He adds that these are not the last steps to "reboot" the Defence Ministry. The next changes to strengthen the team will be presented in a few days.

Previously. 13 NGOs have already joined the establishment of an anti-corruption advisory body under the Ministry of Defence.
