Details. It is noted that among the dead is a family from Zaporizhzhia, whose death was reported by the media the day before. In total, the agency managed to find 136 Ukrainian citizens and evacuate 37.
At the same time, 10 Ukrainians were rescued from the rubble. Another 7 are still missing and the search for them is ongoing. Two of them may be under the rubble, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has been engaged in the search. In addition, 1 person was hospitalised, his condition is stable.
A second group of consuls is heading to the earthquake-affected area to coordinate the search for missing citizens on the spot, provide assistance to the victims, and ensure the evacuation of Ukrainians either to other Turkish regions or Ukraine.
In addition, diplomats plan to evacuate 22 Ukrainian citizens from the affected southern region in the near term.
According to media reports, as of the morning of February 14, more than 37,000 people have died from the natural disaster in Turkey and Syria: 31,643 people in the country with the epicentre of the earthquake and more than 5,814 residents of the neighbouring country.
