Details. "I would like to thank our international partners for their continued financial assistance. In January, we received $4.2 billion from the European Union and the United States. This month we plan to raise more than $2 billion from the United States, the World Bank and other donors. We need these funds for critical expenditures: financing salaries and pensions, education and medicine," Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister also said that a discussion with the IMF mission had begun in Warsaw on the prospects for preparing and revising the Monitoring Program.
"This is the way to a new stage of cooperation with the Fund. We expect progress in the negotiation process," he summarized.
Background. As reported, the state budget of Ukraine has already kept UAH 17 billion of seized Russian assets, which will be used for infrastructure restoration projects.
