As part of today's exchange, the first deputy mayor of Enerhodar, Ivan Samoydiuk, returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity along with a hundred soldiers.

Source. This was reported by the Ukrainian Coordination Center for Prisoners of War.

Details. "He did not break, refused to cooperate with the enemy and was abducted by the occupiers on March 19 last year at a checkpoint near Blahovishchenka. After 333 days of captivity, he is returning to his family and friends," the Coordination Center writes.

The Coordination Center also clarifies that among the 100 Ukrainian servicemen exchanged today, 46 served in the Navy, 29 in the Border Guard, 12 in the National Guard, eight in the Armed Forces, and five in the Territorial Defense.

Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak noted that 94 of the released men are Mariupol defenders, including 63 soldiers from Azovstal.

"Their families have been waiting for them for so long. Many of the heroes sustained injuries of varying severity. We continue to work, thanks to the team and the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War," he wrote in his telegram channel.

Background. As reported, Ukraine is considering the possibility of exchanging prisoners with Turkey's mediation.
