There is no shortage of capacities in the power system – Ukrenergo

Details. Consumption is the lowest for the whole week, which is typical for Sunday morning. "Consumption growth is forecasted in the evening and tomorrow morning. Now it is extremely important for the power system to avoid both peak loads and consumption dips. Please distribute the use of power intensive appliances throughout the day," the company says.
As NPC emphasises, oblasts were not informed of the consumption limits due to the absence of a power shortage in the power system. At the same time, if the situation changes and consumption grows, power cuts may be applied. Measurements of actual consumption will continue tomorrow.
Scheduled outages are still being applied due to grid restrictions in the city of Odesa and Odesa Oblast. In addition, hourly power cuts are possible in certain districts of Kyiv and in Kyiv Oblast due to repair works carried out by the oblast power distribution company, the statement points out.
Repair work continues seven days a week in Odesa Oblast and other oblasts where the main power grids have been repeatedly attacked by russian missiles and drones, Ukrenergo notes.
Background. More than 10 GW of the main installed capacities are currently unavailable to the Ukrainian power system and are under the control of the russians. This includes Zaporizhzhia NPP, the largest in Ukraine and Europe, as well as Zaporizhzhia TPP, Luhansk TPP, Vuhlehirsk TPP, and Kakhovka HPP. In addition, the majority of wind and solar power plants are located in the southern territories temporarily occupied by the russians.
