Nuland: Russians are importing 1000% more equipment to disassemble it and extract chips
New US sanctions package against Russia will include Chinese companies

The United States is preparing to include Chinese companies in a new package of sanctions against Russia, which Washington will announce on Friday.
Source. This was stated by US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland in an interview with the Washington Post.
She emphasized that the main purpose of this package is to prevent Russia from circumventing the previously imposed restrictions. According to her, Moscow uses third countries to do this.
"They are importing 1000% more laptops, iPhones, dishwashers from third countries, not because they need them for their homes, but to disassemble this equipment, extract chips from it and use them to produce missiles," said Victoria Nuland.
To prevent this, the United States is imposing sanctions on several Chinese companies that, according to the US government, are helping Russia to circumvent restrictions, the Deputy Secretary of State noted.
Victoria Nuland said that the United States would like to see the Chinese plan for a peaceful settlement, which Beijing is to present on Friday. She hopes that it will not be just a "cynical ceasefire" that will allow Moscow to gather its forces.
Background. Earlier, Nuland said that all G7 countries would impose new sanctions against Russia by February 24.
