Poland announces suspension of oil supplies via Druzhba pipeline
Orlen is confident that it will easily replace Russian supplies

Russian oil has stopped flowing to Poland via the Druzhba pipeline, said Daniel Obaytek, chairman of the board of the Polish oil refining company PKN Orlen.
Source. It is reported by Reuters.
PKN Orlen is fully prepared for the situation and ensures the supply of raw materials, he assured.
"Only 10% of the raw materials came from Russia, and we will replace it with oil from other sources," Daniel Obaytek wrote on Twitter.
Warsaw has cut back on Russian oil imports since Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
As of February, Orlen has been receiving oil under an agreement with Tatneft after its contract with Rosneft expired.
Orlen said it will be able to supply its refineries by sea. The company said that the suspension of pipeline supplies will not affect the shipment of gasoline and diesel fuel to its customers.
The Druzhba pipeline also supplies oil to Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. On December 5, the European Union stopped buying Russian oil, and on February 5, it stopped buying petroleum products. However, the sanctions did not affect exports via Druzhba.
Background. As reported, within 2 weeks of Western sanctions, Europe quickly found a replacement for Russian oil products.
