Ukraine lacks tanks and weapons to push Russia back from front line - Ukrainian army lieutenant
Military does not have "sufficient means" to push back Russian troops, he said

A Ukrainian military commander said on Saturday that Ukraine does not have "sufficient means" to push back Russian forces on the offensive around Bakhmut.
Source. Lieutenant Colonel Yevhen Oropay, company commander of the Svoboda battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine, said this on national television.
According to him, the Russian military is "actively advancing" in Bakhmut and on the flanks in the area.
"Sometimes we lose our positions, and sometimes we have to attack and repel them. That is, the contact line is constantly changing," said Oropay.
Oropay also emphasized that the military does not have "sufficient means" to push back Russian troops, as Russia is stepping up attacks on the front line and Ukrainians are waiting for Western weapons to arrive.
"We do not have enough tanks, armored vehicles, airplanes and long-range artillery to conduct competent offensives without heavy losses. It is very difficult to be an infantryman," he said.
Ukraine's military said on Saturday that Russia had made "several unsuccessful attacks" on settlements near Bakhmut.
Background. The day before, it became known that the first batch of Polish Leopards had already arrived in Ukraine.
