Latvian Prime Minister: Supply of aircraft to Ukraine is only a matter of time
The Latvian Prime Minister said that the war should be finished with Ukraine's victory

Latvian Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš is confident that the supply of fighter jets to Ukraine by Western countries is "only a matter of time".
He said this in an interview with Spiegel.
"If we had them, we would give them, too. The delivery of combat aircraft is only a matter of time. I see no reason why the West should not supply fighter jets. If the Ukrainians need fighter jets, they should get them. They have repeatedly proven that they quickly learn to operate new equipment," Mr. Kariņš said.
The Latvian Prime Minister declared that the war should end with the victory of Ukraine and, accordingly, the defeat of russia.
Background. Earlier, the Latvian Saeima approved the procedure for transferring cars confiscated from drunk drivers to the Ukrainian army. The transfer process is planned to be organised through an organisation that cooperates with the Ukrainian government.
However, on February 28, a senior U.S. Defence Department official opposed providing Ukraine with F-16s and the necessary pilot training because, according to him, it would take a long time, be expensive and contradict Ukraine's more pressing priorities.
