Borrell warns against jumping to conclusions due to reports of a "Ukrainian trace" in the sabotage of Nord Stream
He calls such materials "speculation"

Josep Borelle, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has warned against jumping to conclusions following new reports of gas leaks from the Nord Stream pipeline last year as a result of pipeline bombings.
Source. This was reported by Sky News.
According to some media outlets, citing alleged intelligence data verified by US officials, a pro-Ukrainian group was behind the incident.
"I am not afraid of the truth. Any truth. But we are talking about speculation," Josep Borrell told reporters today after a meeting of EU defense ministers in Stockholm.
He added that investigations are still ongoing in Sweden, Denmark and Germany.
"As long as the investigations are ongoing, we cannot draw final conclusions. I need to wait and see what is going on," Mr. Borrell said.
He was supported by Swedish Defense Minister Pal Johnson.
"While the investigation is ongoing, I don't want to jump to any conclusions about who is responsible for the sabotage. I want to wait for the investigation to be completed," the minister said.
Background. As a reminder, The Times supposes that the organizer of the explosions at Nord Stream was a Ukrainian with no political connections.
According to the newspaper, the organization of the sabotage was his private initiative. He allegedly paid for the rental of a yacht, the hiring of elite divers, forged passports, and the purchase of cumulative charges of explosives available only to the oil and gas industry.
The Times emphasizes that Western intelligence services know this Ukrainian. His name was not disclosed in order not to provoke a conflict between Ukraine and Germany.
