Turkey has started rebuilding houses destroyed by the earthquake.
This was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Anadolu Agency reports.

In total, the authorities aim to restore 244,000 housing units and another 75,000 rural houses over the year. The Turkish President noted that the earthquake in Hatay, the effects of which were felt over a large area, had caused the most destruction and loss of life.
"We have informed municipalities on each of the settlements damaged by the earthquake in order for them to use their resources to restore life there," Mr. Erdogan said.
