The government has finally liquidated the SACI
All 24 of its territorial offices have ceased operations, and 5,420 enforcement proceedings in court cases have been closed

The government has finally liquidated the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine (SACI).
The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development reports this.
It is noted that the decision to liquidate the SACI was made by the Cabinet of Ministers back in 2020 due to numerous complaints about its activities and violations. Now all 24 territorial inspection bodies have ceased operations, and 5,420 enforcement proceedings in court cases have been closed.
"We have put an end to the existence of one of the most corrupt state structures in the history of independent Ukraine. Experts estimate that corruption in the construction sector caused by unlawful actions of the SACI could amount to at least 3 billion UAH annually," the ministry explains.
The Ministry adds that all SACI documents have been transferred to the Central State Archives of Supreme Bodies of Power and Government of Ukraine for storage.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the court had reinstated the SACI employee who had been dismissed due to the liquidation of this body. The Administrative Court of Cassation ruled that the SACI had not been liquidated but reorganised.
