Kyivstar earned 31 billion UAH in 2022, increasing its revenue by 8.2% compared to 2021.

This is stated in the company's financial report.

In Q4 2022, subscribers increased their mobile internet usage by 26.3% compared to 2021. The number of subscribers using 4G services increased by 8.2% in Q4 2022 and now accounts for 53% of the company's total subscribers. This became possible thanks to the expansion of the 4G network in 2022.

Kyivstar's 4G services are now available to 93% of the population in the government-controlled territory of Ukraine. To improve the customer experience, Kyivstar actively developed VoLTE technology in 2022, which enables voice communication over the 4G network. In 2022, 1 million subscribers used this service.

The number of Kyivstar TV subscribers in Q4 2022 increased by 60% compared to Q4 2021 and reached 1.1 million users.

The mobile operator has invested 5.9 billion UAH in the telecom network and paid 10.7 billion UAH in taxes to the state budget.

In 2022, Kyivstar's team restored communication in 816 settlements and rebuilt 600 base stations that were destroyed due to hostilities. During the year, the company's specialists carried out 144 thousand repair and restoration works at the telecommunication network facilities. Thanks to their daily work, 90% of base stations are operational and provide subscribers with vital communication and Internet services.

In 2022, more than 1.8 million of the company's subscribers in the European Union were able to use mobile services at the same tariffs as in Ukraine. In the de-occupied territories, subscribers receive special tariffs with packages of minutes and mobile internet without paying for services. In 2022, the company provided subscribers with free services and bonuses equivalent to 577 million UAH. Additionally, Kyivstar has allocated 300 million UAH to support the government initiative on rebuilding Ukraine's digital infrastructure and more than 130 million UAH to meet the humanitarian needs of the military, IDPs and hospitals. The company is providing free internet to 1,500 bomb shelters and 1,200 houses for IDPs. In total, Kyivstar spent more than 1.6 billion UAH in 2022 to support subscribers and employees, provide humanitarian aid, and donate money to charity projects. In addition, in 2022 Kyivstar paid taxes and other payments to the state budget totalling 10.7 billion UAH.

In 2022, the company continued to develop its 4G network and installed 700 new base stations, the same number as in peaceful 2021. In addition, more than 7000 base stations were technologically upgraded. This allowed to increase the speed of mobile Internet and improve the quality of communication in regions with a high traffic load, such as Western Ukraine, where more than three million subscribers moved in 2022. The telecom operator's capital expenditures on the rebuilding and development of the telecom network in 2022 reached 5.9 billion UAH, up 7.4% compared to 2021.

In August 2022, Kyivstar made an investment in Helsi company, a market leader in electronic solutions for healthcare facilities. This will enable the telecom operator to develop digital healthcare products for private and business customers.
