Kubrakov announces extension of grain deal for 120 days
Russia previously agreed to only 60 days

Ukraine's Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov has announced that the grain agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain from Black Sea ports has been extended for another 120 days.
Source. The Minister wrote about this on his Facebook page.
"I am grateful to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Turkish President Recep Erdogan, as well as to all partner countries for their joint efforts to extend the document for another 4 months.
This means that Ukraine continues to export its agricultural products through three deep sea ports," he wrote.
Kubrakov emphasized that from August 1, 2022, to date, Ukraine has exported 25 million tons of grain "for the needs of the world."
He said that Ukraine continues to work on joining the Grain Initiative of Mykolaiv region ports and expanding the range of cargoes. "The ability to export more will help to remove inflationary risks and, as a result, social tensions in many countries," Kubrakov said.
Another key factor in increasing grain exports is the acceleration of inspections in Turkey.
On Saturday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also announced the extension of the grain deal.
"The term of the grain deal, which expires on March 19, has been extended. We have secured a new extension of the agreement through negotiations with the two sides," Erdogan said in a speech in the western city of Canakkale.
The Russian government wanted to extend the agreement for two months, while Kyiv and the UN insisted on four months.
Background. Earlier it was reported that Russia and the UN agreed to extend the grain deal for 60 days.
