Man detained in Poland for spying for Russia
He was collecting information about the country's critical infrastructure

Poland has detained a foreign citizen on charges of spying for Russia.
Source. This was reported by the country's prosecutor's office, cited by CNBC.
The war in Ukraine has pushed already tense relations between Poland and Russia to a new low, and Warsaw says it is increasingly being targeted by Russian spies and disinformation.
The prosecutor's office in Gdansk in northern Poland reported that the suspect was detained on March 21.
"The conclusions drawn in the case indicate that the suspect acted in favor of Russian intelligence, receiving and collecting information about critical infrastructure in the Pomeranian and Kujawsko-Pomeranian regions and about the activities of services and bodies responsible for security," the statement said.
"The suspect passed the information to the Russian special service," the statement said.
The arrest comes after Poland destroyed a Russian spy network that was preparing sabotage and monitoring railroad routes to Ukraine. If proven guilty, the suspect faces up to 10 years in prison.
