It is noted that the Ministry of Justice has already adopted and registered seven methods for calculating losses.
"In particular, losses are already being calculated in four areas. These are land, soil, air, and water resources. The State Ecological Inspectorate is working in this direction, and almost 2 trillion UAH of losses have already been counted. And this is just the beginning, since there is still a lot of work to be done. We still need to calculate the losses related to forests and the nature reserve fund," says Oleksandr Stavniychuk, Head of the Environmental Control Department of the Environmental Control and Methodology Division of the Ministry of Environment.
