Energoatom is preparing to restore the power line between Ukraine and Poland, which last operated more than 30 years ago
As soon as Ukrenergo completes its part of the work, the line can be put into operation

Energoatom is preparing to launch an overhead line that will connect the Ukrainian and European power systems through Poland.
This was reported by the company's press service.
Energoatom has completed its part of the work in full. Some of the necessary equipment has already been installed at the site, and the relevant Energoatom units are carrying out pre-commissioning activities.
As soon as NNEGC Ukrenergo fulfils its part of the obligations, the line can be put into operation. According to experts, the NPC may complete the work in April.
The overhead power line was decommissioned and has not been in operation since 1991.
"This is how we are expanding our capabilities and strengthening Ukraine's connection to the European power system. This is extremely important at a time when russia is targeting our energy infrastructure," said Petro Kotin and added: "In the prospect, this power line will enable Ukraine to export and import electricity to the EU, which will have a positive impact on the development of the national economy."
Background. On 9 August, Ukrenergo and the Polish transmission system operator PSE SA agreed to restore the Khmelnytska NPP-Rzeszów interconnector, which would increase the grid capacity by six times.
