Twitter algorithms classify posts about Ukraine as "undesirable topics"

The algorithms of Twitter, a social network owned by Elon Musk, classify posts about the "crisis in Ukraine" as "disinformation" and categorize them as "undesirable topics."
As a result, such posts are hidden from the general public.
One of Twitter's employees, Aakash Gupta, drew attention to this.
He analyzed the new algorithms and noticed that the topic of the war in Ukraine was classified as disinformation:
"Anything that is classified as disinformation is hidden from the general public. Surprisingly, posts about Ukraine also fell into this category," he wrote on the social network.
"Musk's Twitter hides posts about Ukraine. I have long suspected this, and it is finally confirmed," commented Paul Massaro, Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Helsinki Commission.
