"Ukroboronprom has signed 33 contracts with foreign companies from 14 countries since the beginning of the invasion
Joint production projects outside of Ukraine are related to the fact that it is safer to produce weapons on NATO territory

The State Concern "Ukroboronprom" is already implementing a number of projects together with companies from NATO member states to produce weapons and military equipment.
Source. This was announced by Director General Yuriy Husyev in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
"During the war, we signed 33 international agreements with companies from 14 countries that support us," he said.
The director general noted that technology transfer is needed for the Ukrainian defense industry to produce more high-quality high-tech equipment and weapons, and to meet the expectations of its partners, the state concern is currently transforming into the Ukrainian Defense Industry Joint Stock Company (JSC).
Gusev explained that unlike the concern, a JSC "with appropriate corporate governance, compliance, and anti-corruption policy" can be such a partner.
"Our goal is to attract investments, technologies and integrate the Ukrainian defense industry into the global chain of arms and military equipment production of NATO member states, primarily, of course, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. We have signed agreements and joint venture agreements with a number of countries. We are already implementing several projects together with companies from NATO member states," emphasized UOP Director General.
According to him, joint production projects outside of Ukraine are due to the fact that it is safe to produce weapons in NATO territory, while factories in Ukraine are under constant attack.
"We are working to ensure that the plants are located in safe places," Husiev stated.
He clarified that a number of partnership projects are currently underway for joint production, including ammunition, with NATO member states.
In particular, Ukroboronprom and the relevant agency of the Czech Ministry of Defense signed an agreement on a joint cluster.
"At the highest level, our president and the Czech prime minister discussed consolidation of efforts to increase production of weapons, ammunition, and equipment repair," Husyev said.
"But we also welcome the willingness of some well-known European companies to say that in the future they will build factories in Ukraine, taking into account all security measures," added the UOP head.
Background. Recently, it was reported that Ukroboronprom had set up the production of a 122-mm artillery shell abroad.
