Antonov starts using Mriya engines for Ruslan aircraft
One of the Mriya engines was removed before the invasion to be installed on an An-124 on a commercial flight

The Antonov State Enterprise has started using some of the engines from the destroyed An-225 Mriya giant airliner for An-124 Ruslan aircraft.
This was announced by Maksym Sanotskyi, Deputy Director General of Antonov Enterprise, in an interview with DW.
As he noted, the company has five Ruslan aircraft in operation. They are currently based in the German city of Leipzig.
The engines from Mriya can be installed on Ruslan since both aircraft use the same type of D-18T powerplants.
One of the engines from the An-225 Mriya was removed before the russian invasion to be installed on the An-124, which was on a commercial flight at the time.
Wing mechanisation elements have also been dismantled from the wrecked Mriya, which are planned to be used in the possible production of the second AN-225.
