At Germany's request, Armenia has agreed to cut off sanctions circumvention channels for Russia

During his visit to Germany in March, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was warned about the need to close channels for "parallel imports" of goods and stop making money transfers to Russia.

Upon his arrival in Armenia, he convened a meeting of ministers, which was attended by the heads of the Central Bank and the State Revenue Committee.
The prime minister demanded that the channels of goods and money flowing into Russia be closed as soon as possible.
Hraparak writes that this decision has greatly affected the revenues of companies that helped Russia circumvent sanctions.
It is reported that now airports have even begun to stop individual passengers and check their luggage for chips and other goods whose exports are subject to restrictions imposed by Western countries.
Control over Russian banking operations has also been tightened.
During his visit to Germany, Nikol Pashinyan said that "rumors that Armenia is helping Russia circumvent sanctions are nothing more than rumors."
Right after the Easter vacation, the European Commission plans to approve the 11th package of sanctions. It will mainly be devoted to the development of measures that will allow to block the channels used by Russia to circumvent sanctions.
