Israel plans to test an advanced missile warning system in Kyiv by the end of May.
Source. Israeli newspaper Walla, citing senior Israeli and Ukrainian officials.
The improved system will be able to alert about the threat of a missile attack in a specific location instead of the entire region. This means that people in the possible target area will receive alerts on their mobile phones.
This is expected to give Ukrainians more time to take cover. Meanwhile, citizens who are not in danger will not be distracted from their daily routine.
The journalists add that the system may be introduced in other cities of Ukraine if the testing in Kyiv is successful.
