DIU evacuates 87 Ukrainian citizens from Sudan
They are currently in Egypt and are waiting to return home
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has evacuated 87 Ukrainian citizens and 51 citizens of Georgia and Peru from Sudan.
This was reported by the DIU press service.
The people were evacuated from the Sudanese capital Khartoum due to continuous fighting, lack of food and water, and non-compliance with the ceasefire. Among Ukrainians are pilots, technicians and their families.
All evacuees are now safe in Egypt and have been provided with the necessary medical care, food and water. The Ukrainian citizens are provided with visa and documentary support and promised to be returned home as soon as possible.
