Second division of Patriot air defense system is already on combat duty - Oleshchuk
Yuriy Ihnat confirmed that the second Patriot division is already "performing combat work in one of the areas"

Commander of the Air Force of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk posted a photo of himself in front of the American Patriot air defense system on his Telegram channel.
"The second Patriot air defense division is already in operation," Oleshchuk wrote.
"They say there is a ban on the General Staff taking selfies in front of equipment! Sorry, I couldn't resist," he added.
Ukrainska Pravda reports that the official representative of the Air Force Yuriy Ihnat has confirmed that the second Patriot division is already "performing combat work in one of the areas outlined by the military leadership."
On April 24, Ihnat said that one Patriot anti-aircraft system, which was transferred to Ukraine by the allies, had already been put on combat duty, and the others were on their way to their positions.
The "division" apparently refers to what is usually called a "battery" in the case of the Patriot: a complex of several, usually four launchers and all related equipment.
Ukraine has long asked the West to provide it with these modern systems, which are in service in many countries and are capable of shooting down airplanes and drones as well as missiles, including cruise missiles.
A few days ago, it was reported that Patriot air defense systems from the United States, the Netherlands, and Germany had arrived in Ukraine.
