In Sevastopol, on the night of 29 April, a fuel tank caught fire at a tank farm in the area of Manganari Brothers Street in Kozacha Bay. The fire covered an area of about 2,000 square metres and was classified as the 4th level of fire danger. Four tanks were damaged.

It is noted that the smoke from the fire began to partially dissipate only by morning. The shooting was reportedly heard at the scene of the fire.

The occupation authorities of the peninsula claim that the fire started due to the drone attack. The "governor" of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozzhayev, wrote about this.

He stated that information about the victims was being clarified. Cynology police arrived at the scene to check the territory of the tank farm for explosives. Razvozzhayev's press service also said that the residents of Sevastopol would not be evacuated from Kozacha Bay.

The fire is expected to be completely extinguished by 6:00 p.m.

The Rybar Telegram channel, which is close to the FSB, reported that at least 10 Ukrainian Mugin-5 drones made in China and equipped with explosives took part in the attack on Sevastopol. Most of them were shot down by air defence systems.

A Mugin-5 drone costs $10-15 thousand. It can be bought online. It weighs 85 kg, can carry a load of up to 20-25 kg, can stay in the air for up to 7 hours, and has a top speed of 150 km/h. The body is 100% carbon fibre, so it is not easy to detect.

Police checkpoints have been set up on the roads to Kozacha Bay to check the documents of all those entering and leaving.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the explosion in Sevastopol destroyed more than 10 tanks with oil products with a total capacity of about 40,000 tonnes, which were intended for the needs of the russian Black Sea Fleet.

In addition to Razvozzhayev, Ukrainian Olha Kovitidi spoke about the fire. From 2006 to 2014, she was a member of the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and after the annexation she began to cooperate with the russian authorities. She has been a senator since then. In response to the fire in Sevastopol, Kovitidi called for a strike on Odesa:

"On the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces drone on Sevastopol and the fire at the tank farm in Kozacha Bay: we no longer have time for 'slow dancing'. The event requires a tough decision and action. All oil storage facilities in Odesa must be destroyed. A strategic decision must be made to neutralise Odesa as a military base of Ukraine."

The Ukrainian side has not yet responded to the fire.
