Zelensky signs law on special accounts to support Ukraine
The law introduces rules for the distribution of funds on special accounts at the NBU

President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed Bill No. 8433 amending the Budget Code to allow the use of funds from accounts to support Ukraine.
This was announced by Yaroslav Zhelezniak, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy.
"We have the second completed 'structural beacon' in the IMF programme (this is item 8 in the Structural Benchmarks). I would like to remind you that we have 19 Structural Benchmarks under the new programme so far," Zhelezniak said.
The law provides for the allocation and spending of funds to support Ukraine according to clear budgetary rules within the budget programmes of the special fund of the state budget and the introduction of monthly reporting on the receipt and use of funds for each of the accounts opened with the NBU and control over their use according to budget legislation.
Besides, the bill proposes to publish on the official websites of the main spending units the amounts of voluntary contributions received and a list of purchased goods and services.
Previously. In April, the IMF approved the opening of a special account for financial assistance to Ukraine.
