German law enforcement investigates leak of information about Zelenskyy's upcoming visit
Confidential information leak puts visit in question

Berlin police have launched an investigation into the suspected disclosure of confidential information about security measures during the planned visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Germany.
Source. This was reported by Deutsche Welle.
The reason for the investigation was an article that appeared on May 3 in the Berlin edition of B. Z. The article allegedly quoted a Berlin police officer and described the details of preparations for Zelensky's visit, which are confidential.
"The Berlin police have never officially provided any information that would jeopardize the state visit," the Berlin police said, adding that no details about security measures or the course of the visit were provided to the press. A police spokeswoman said that the investigation is now being conducted "in all directions."
In particular, B. Z. reported, citing one of the unnamed law enforcement officers, that Zelensky was scheduled to arrive in Berlin next Saturday, May 13. In connection with the upcoming visit, a heightened security regime will be introduced in the center of Berlin in the Potsdamer Platz area, where, in particular, traffic will be restricted, documents will be checked, and snipers and bomb-sniffing dogs will be working during the visit.
The publication also reported the time of Zelensky's meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, which is scheduled to take place in Berlin on May 14. After that, according to B. Z., Zelenskyy is likely to fly by helicopter to Aachen, where he will be awarded the Charlemagne Prize, and later that day leave Germany on a special flight to Ukraine.
Following B. Z., other German media outlets also reported on Zelensky's possible visit.
The day before, the German media outlet t-online, citing sources in Ukraine, reported that the leak of information about Zelenskyy's upcoming visit to Germany could put the trip in question.
The outlet wrote that Kyiv is "so irritated by the leak from Germany that they are considering canceling Zelenskyy's visit."
According to t-online's sources, the Ukrainian side is "deeply disappointed" that "apparently very sensitive security information" was deliberately published by German sources.
