Defence forces carry out limited counter-attack southwest of Bakhmut – ISW
Meanwhile, occupiers continue ground assaults on Bakhmut and its surroundings, as well as along the Avdiyivka–Donetsk frontline
Ukraine's defence forces have likely carried out a limited counter-attack southwest of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) states this in its report.
"Geolocated footage published on May 3 indicates that Ukrainian forces likely counterattacked northwest of Kurdyumivka (14km southwest of Bakhmut) and made marginal advances in the area. The limited nature of the likely Ukrainian advances suggests that the counterattack was a localized tactical operation," the analysts report.
At the same time, the occupiers continued ground attacks in Bakhmut and its surroundings, as well as along the Avdiyivka–Donetsk front.
According to the report, russian sources claim that russian forces "achieved territorial successes" south of Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast and repelled a Ukrainian offensive in Zaporizhia Oblast.
