This was reported by Andriy Yusov, spokesperson for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence.
"Since 2014, the occupiers have been using such provocations and it is not excluded that we will face this again," the intelligence officer clarified.
In addition, in his opinion, russian special services may prepare provocations against their own civilian population. Yusov also does not rule out the possibility of preparing certain measures against Belarusians, for instance, a 'false flag operation' to involve the Belarusian army in a war against Ukraine.
"Nobody in Ukraine or the rest of the world will believe in such performances anymore. Although this does not mean that there will be no provocations," the defence intelligence representative emphasised.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the occupiers were preparing provocations in Zaporizhzhia under the guise of 'evacuation'. In evacuation convoys, only a third were civilians, while the rest were disguised russian military personnel.
