Britain provides Ukraine with long-range Storm Shadow missiles with a range of up to 300 km
The Kremlin is already promising an "adequate response" from the Russian military

CNN reported that the UK has supplied Ukraine with long-range air-launched Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
The declared range of this cruise missile is over 250 km in the export version, and up to 560 km for the French and British armies. Theoretically, the first modification will allow the Ukrainian army to strike not only the entire occupied territory of Ukraine and Crimea, but also many cities in Russia. For example, Bryansk, Klintsy, Oryol, Kursk, Stary Oskol, Voronezh, and Belgorod could theoretically be targeted.
A Western official told CNN that the UK has received assurances from the Ukrainian government that these missiles will only be used within the sovereign territory of Ukraine and not to strike Russian territory.
The Storm Shadow, also known as SCALP, is a cruise missile designed to destroy important ground stationary targets. This weapon is a joint development of the United Kingdom and France.
The Storm Shadow is launched from an airplane, climbs near the target, and then dives.
The missile weighs about 1300 kg. The maximum diameter of the body is 48 cm and the wingspan is 3 meters.
The missile has a two-level warhead. First, the first cumulative charge penetrates armor, concrete or ground, and then the main charge penetrates the target to inflict maximum damage. The main targets for these cruise missiles are important enemy military installations: command posts, ammunition depots, bridges and other strategic objects.
In February of this year, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that his country would be the first to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons to counter Russian invasion.
The UK's supply of long-range missiles will require an adequate response from the Russian military, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
