Polish EuRoPol GAZ has filed an arbitration lawsuit against Gazprom
The company is suing for "lost profits" since it is "currently not transmitting russian gas"
Polish company EuRoPol GAZ, which owns the Polish section of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline, has filed an arbitration claim at the Chamber of Commerce in Stockholm against russian company Gazprom for 6 billion zlotys (over $1.4 billion).

"EuRoPol GAZ, which is responsible for gas transit, has filed an arbitration claim against Gazprom for compensation of about 850 million zlotys (approximately $220 million) of unpaid debt for gas transportation. In addition, EuRoPol GAZ intends to obtain from Gazprom more than 5 billion zlotys (approximately $1.2 billion) for "lost profits" since it "is currently not transmitting russian gas", the report says.
Background. Earlier, Italian company Eni SpA initiated arbitration in connection with the decision of russian Gazprom to stop gas supplies following the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
