The Diia app now has the option to replace the driving licence
Ukraine has become the first country in Europe where one can opt out of a physical driving licence

You can now replace your driving licence with a few clicks on the Diia app. The electronic licence is valid throughout Ukraine.
This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The service is available to:
- new drivers whose two-year term for their first licence has expired;
- those who have lost or damaged their document;
- anyone who has changed their surname or simply wants to ditch the plastic and use a digital document.
It is noted that with the launch of this service, Ukraine has become the first country in Europe where one can opt out of a physical driving licence, and create a digital one instead.
You can order either a physical plastic document and pick it up personally at the Ministry of Internal Affairs' service centre, or an E-licence, which is exclusively digital and valid in Ukraine.
