Ukraine suspends electricity exports due to repair work at power plants
Generated electricity is sufficient to cover the country's domestic consumption, states Ukrenergo

The import and export of electricity have been halted due to the need to meet domestic requirements. Restoration work is ongoing at the energy blocks of thermal power plants (TPP) and combined heat and power plants (CHPP), damaged as a result of russian attacks, in order to secure reserves for covering morning and evening consumption peaks.
This is reported by Ukrenergo.
"Currently, no import or export of electricity is being carried out. The absence of electricity exports from Ukraine is due to the need to cover the country's internal consumption needs throughout the day and to ensure reserves for the evening hours of maximum consumption," stated the company.
Previously, the excess electricity was exported to Poland and Moldova, but only during those hours of the day when Ukrainians were assured of power supply.
Background. Mind previously reported that DTEK would increase electricity imports during peak consumption hours during the period of power unit repairs.
