The White House is studying data on the use of American equipment during a military sortie in Russia

The U.S. government is reviewing information about the use of U.S. armored vehicles during a recent armed raid by subversive groups in Russia, White House spokesman John Kirby said.

Source. This was reported by Reuters.

During a press conference in Washington, Kirby also said that the US authorities had clearly warned Ukrainian leaders that they did not approve of such use of American equipment.

Russian authorities said that several American infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed after a group of armed men infiltrated the territory of the Belgorod region.

The Russian Defense Ministry also published several photos of the destroyed American vehicles. At the same time, experts assessing the data based on open sources expressed doubts about the authenticity of these images, which could have been taken outside of Russia.

Ukraine denies any direct involvement in the events in the Belgorod region, insisting that only Russians participated in the operation.

Background. The FT reported that sabotage groups in the Belgorod region used US armored vehicles. At the same time, one Ukrainian military official allegedly admitted "cooperation" with Russian nationalist groups, the newspaper writes.
