Ukrnaftoburinnya prepares lawsuits for international courts due to the transfer of corporate rights to Ukrnafta by the Cabinet of Ministers
The company accuses the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, of hostile business takeover

Ukrnaftoburinnya is preparing lawsuits for international jurisdictions due to the transfer of corporate rights to Ukrnafta by the Cabinet of Ministers.
This was announced by the press service of Ukrnaftoburinnya.
The company's press service confirmed that the government, by order of the Cabinet of Ministers, transferred the corporate rights of PJSC MC Ukrnaftoburinnya (UNB) to the management of PJSC Ukrnafta. The company accuses the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, who signed the relevant document, of a hostile business takeover.
"UNB is outraged by the illegality and speed of decision-making at the highest levels of state power in Ukraine. Contrary to existing legislation, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the hostile takeover of private property, having no legal grounds for this," the statement said.
The Cabinet of Ministers' order allegedly mentions the risks of emergencies or disruptions in natural gas supply from Ukrnaftoburinnya. However, the company calls these claims absurd, asserting that "UNB is one of the most efficient companies in this segment of the economy."
"We will continue to defend our legal rights strictly in the legal field. The company and its shareholders are preparing lawsuits for international courts, including the European Court of Human Rights," the press service added.
Background. Mind previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers ordered the transfer of a number of arrested gas assets from ARMA to Ukrnafta. This will help prevent the risk of emergencies or disruptions in natural gas supply.
