Damage to infrastructure has been recorded in Zhytomyr following a night-time attack by russians. Human casualties were successfully avoided.
This was announced by the city mayor, Serhiy Sukhomlyn.
"The alarm lasted for approximately five hours. Zhytomyr without casualties. There is damage," Sukhomlin wrote.
He added that details would be disclosed later.
Background. The Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that on the night of 28 May, russian forces attacked Ukraine with Iranian offensive drones Shahed-136/131 from the north direction – Bryansk region, and from the south – Krasnodar region. In total, 54 kamikaze drone launches were detected.
Defence forces destroyed 52 drones.
