Missile attack on Kyiv: What is known as of now? (UPDATED)
Air defence forces downed 11 Iskander-M and Iskander-K missiles

UPDATED at 2:15 p.m.:
According to updated information from the General Staff, air defence forces destroyed 11 Iskander-M and Iskander-K missiles over Kyiv Oblast. The missiles were launched at around 11:30 a.m. from the north.
UPDATED at 12:50 p.m.:
According to preliminary information provided by KCMA, all air targets over Kyiv were destroyed by air defence forces – no hits on infrastructure were reported.
UPDATED at 12:28 p.m.:
The spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, said during the national TV marathon that the missiles on Kyiv had been flying on a ballistic trajectory. According to preliminary information, those could be Iskanders.
"Preliminarily, these were Iskanders. They come in different modifications. Iskander-M is a ballistic missile and Iskander-K is a cruise missile. We'll inform later what kind of weapon was used," Ihnat explained.
The enemy launched another missile attack on the capital of Ukraine.
According to Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko, the explosions occurred around 11:20 a.m. in several central districts of the capital. In the Obolonskyi and Podilskyi districts, fragments of rockets fell on the road; one person in the Podilskyi district was injured.
The Kyiv City Military Administration emphasises that by 11:45 a.m., reports were received about the discovery of six fragments of missiles:
- in the Obolonskyi district – near the petrol station, on the road surface with a fire, on a green zone;
- in the Desnianskyi district – on the park territory;
- in the Dniprovskyi district – on the road in various places.
Earlier, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported about fragments falling on a two-story building in the Podilskyi district – a fire broke out, which was localised.
Background. Mind previously reported that russia had launched 35 Shahed drones and 40 cruise missiles at Ukraine overnight. Air defence forces shot down 40 drones over Kyiv.
