Bodies were returned from temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine
Ukraine has repatriated the bodies of another 79 fallen defenders.
This was reported by the Ministry of Reintegration.
It is noted that the transfer of bodies from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine was facilitated by the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under the Ministry of Reintegration in cooperation with security forces.
The department stresses that the process took place in accordance with the norms of the Geneva Conventions. In the future, the bodies of the defenders will be handed over to their families for burial.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Ukraine had repatriated 106 soldiers from the Bakhmut sector. Among those returning from captivity, many were considered missing.
