In Ukraine, over 4,800 shelters have already been inspected

Over 4,800 shelters have been checked in Ukraine.
This was reported by Ihor Klymenko, Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
According to the minister, 252 shelters were found locked at the time of inspection, and another 893 were deemed unfit for use. Law enforcement officials have submitted violation reports to the responsible authorities for remediation.
Klymenko added that inspections of bomb shelters are being conducted by over 5, 300 rescuers, police officers, and representatives of local executive authorities.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Zelensky had instructed to conduct a full audit of all shelters in Ukraine. Ministers are to report back to the president by 12 June.
