Swiss senate permits re-export of Swiss arms – Kuleba
Foreign Minister calls this a significant step

The upper house of the Swiss Parliament has permitted the export of weaponry to third-party countries for Ukraine. The Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, thanked the Senate for this important step.
He announced this on Twitter.
"I thank the upper house of the Swiss Parliament for an important step in unlocking the re-export of Swiss weaponry. We eagerly await further steps. I am grateful to Switzerland for showing solidarity with Ukraine while maintaining neutrality," stated the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
We remind you that on 2 June, the lower house of the Swiss Parliament – the National Council – rejected a bill known as Lex Ukraine, which would have allowed third-party countries to transfer Swiss-made arms to Ukraine.
Background. Previously, Mind reported that a law on the re-export of arms to Ukraine had failed in Switzerland.
