The situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remains stable and under control

The situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant remains stable and controlled despite the russian occupiers undermining the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Station's dam.
This is reported by the Energoatom press service.
The water level in the station's cooling pond is stable.
According to the latest information, as of 11:00 a.m. on 8 June, the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir near Nikopol is 12.9 m, and in the cooling pond of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant – 16.6 m, this is quite sufficient to meet the station's needs.
According to updated data from the president of Energoatom, Petro Kotin, the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir has reached 13.5 meters (normal – 16.5 m).
Background. The ZNPP's power units have not been operating since September 2022, therefore active evaporation of water from the cooling pond has not been occurring since then.
