Ukraine receives 1,800 MWh of emergency assistance from Poland, says Ukrenergo
Poland's power system had surplus electricity production and asked for help in its consumption

On Sunday, Poland had a surplus of electricity amounting to 1,800 MWh and thus requested assistance from neighbouring countries in its consumption. As such, Ukraine received an additional volume of electricity. It was not a commercial import, but a type of emergency aid.
This is reported by Ukrenergo.
The company notes that power production in Ukraine meets consumer needs, but the volume of available capacities is limited. Repair works are ongoing at thermal power plant blocks and some nuclear power plants, while the output of hydroelectric power plants is gradually decreasing due to a reduction in water levels.
In addition, Ukrenergo adds, during the day, an import of 90-170 MW from Slovakia is planned, but there will be no export or import during the evening peak demand hours.
It is specified that one of the main power lines in the southern region, which was damaged due to shelling, has been restored.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the EU had provided emergency assistance due to a capacity deficit in the Ukrainian power system.
