MEDIA: Delimkhanov, who led the capture of Mariupol, was wounded but is alive

Russian State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov "was wounded, but he is alive," Zvezda TV channel (owned by the Russian Defense Ministry) writes in its telegram channel, with the reservation that the channel was "informed about this by the State Duma."

According to these data, this is how the lower house of the Russian parliament commented on "the reports of some telegram channels about the death of Delimkhanov."

It is not specified where Delimkhanov, a close associate of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, was wounded.

Today, the following message appeared on Ramzan Kadyrov's Telegram channel (he later said it was a joke):

"I myself cannot get in touch with Adam Delimkhanov. He does not get in touch. I ask the Ukrainian intelligence to provide information about the exact place and positions where the attack was carried out, so that I can find my dear BROTHER. I promise a generous reward and ask for your help."

The day before, Kadyrov said that the fighters of the Zakhid-Akhmat battalion would be involved in preventing sabotage in the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine. Delimkhanov met with the governor of Belgorod, representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry and the leadership of the regional department of the Russian Guard, Kadyrov wrote on his telegram channel.

Last year, Delimkhanov commanded the Chechen units that took part in the capture of Mariupol.

The Russian propaganda outlet RIA Novosti writes that Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the lower house of the Russian parliament, "has just spoken" to Adam Delimkhanov, "he is alive and well."

On June 1, Delimkhanov posted a video on his channel in which he addressed the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, with threats to meet and explain what tasks the Chechen unit Akhmat performs. Delimkhanov recorded his appeal after Prigozhin's statement that he did not understand what Akhmat was doing. It is widely believed among the 'military commanders' that it was Prigozhin who 'betrayed' Delimkhanov's position.
