The area of flooded agricultural lands in the Kherson Oblast has reduced by 600 hectares.
This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson Oblast Military Administration.
The water level in the region reached 2.04 metres, while the level of the Dnieper at the Kherson post has dropped to 1.83 metres. At this moment, 27 populated areas on the right bank and another 17 on the temporarily occupied territory remain flooded.
Since the beginning of the day, services have pumped out 21,000 tonnes of water from 84 houses and basements. In total, since the beginning of work, they have pumped over 37,000 tonnes from 157 houses and basements.
At the same time, stabilisation measures are ongoing in the areas where the water has receded. In addition, no cases of infectious diseases have been detected among residents of the de-occupied part of Kherson Oblast.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the restoration of power grids was ongoing in the flooded areas. In the Mykolaiv Oblast, power had been restored to 600 consumers who were disconnected.
