Ukraine has established the location of 11 captive defenders being held in Hungary
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands the Hungarian side to immediately allow consular access to the defenders

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleh Nikolenko, stresses that the Hungarian authorities are ignoring Ukraine's attempts to establish a constructive dialogue regarding the prisoners of war. Consequently, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is demanding the Hungarian side to immediately allow consular access to the defenders.
Furthermore, according to a representative of the ministry, the assurances of the Hungarian authorities about the alleged free status of Ukrainian defenders in Hungary do not correspond with reality. The Ukrainian defenders are being held in isolation without access to information.
In addition, communication of the defenders with their families takes place in the presence of third parties, and they are also denied contact with the Embassy of Ukraine.
Ukraine has established the location of 11 captive defenders being held in Hungary.
This was announced by Oleh Kotenko, the Commissioner for Missing Persons.
Currently, the relevant structures have established the soldiers' surnames and their route of movement to Hungary. It is noted that until now, the government had no information about 7 out of 11 defenders.
Kotenko also explained that until the defenders return to Ukrainian territory, they continue to be registered as missing under special circumstances.
