In Kherson Oblast, 23 localities remain flooded due to the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station sabotage

As of June 18, in Kherson Oblast, due to the sabotage of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station by russian federation terrorists, 23 populated areas remain submerged. It is noted that 6 of them are located in controlled areas, while 17 are in temporarily occupied territories.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
A total of 2,783 people have already been evacuated, including 309 children, 80 people with limited mobility, and 284 animals. Additionally, 716 people have been rescued, including 30 children and 40 people with limited mobility.
Moreover, the service reported that over the day, more than 24,000 tonnes of water had been pumped out from 82 houses and basements, with a total of 107,000 tonnes of water removed from 413 buildings since the beginning of operations.
The State Emergency Service added that over 401 tonnes of water and 36,597 kg of food and essential items had been delivered.
Meanwhile, in Mykolaiv Oblast, 18 settlements in Bashtanka Rayon are partially flooded. 832 people have been evacuated, including 165 children. The service also mentioned that they pumped out 426 cubic meters of water from 21 houses over the day.
