The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NERC) proposes setting maximum prices in the electricity market at 2,714–5,428 UAH per MWh from 30 June.
This is stated in the draft resolution of the regulator, which is planned to be reviewed at the NERC meeting on 26 June.
It is noted that such price levels are proposed following open discussion, as well as the suggestions provided by JSC Market Operator and NPC Ukrenergo.
According to the document, the maximum price for off-peak hours (from 12:00 a.m. to 07:00 a.m. and from 11:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.) could be 2,714 UAH per MWh, for peak load hours (from 07:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.) – 5,428 UAH per MWh; the minimum limit price – 1,152.08 UAH per MWh.
In addition, on the balancing market, the maximum limit price is proposed at 125% of the DA price, determined by the market operator for each settlement period of the respective supply day; the minimum limit price – 0.01 UAH per MWh.
Background. As reported by Mind, referring to the media, NERC abolished the maximum electricity market prices at 2,000–4,000 UAH per MWh from 30 June.
