EU to train 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers during 2023
28 countries are participating in the mission

The European Union is to train 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers during the year 2023, as reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.
Training will be conducted under the auspices of the EU Military Aid Mission to Ukraine, in which 28 nations are participating, to help bolster Ukraine's ability for:
- effective operations;
- defence of its sovereignty and restoration of its territorial integrity;
- protection of the civilian population.
Background. Previously, Mind reported that Ukrainian military personnel would complete their training on Abrams tanks by the end of the summer. Following this, the USA is due to supply Ukraine with 31 units of these tanks.
