Production of russian Kalibr and Kinzhal critically dependent on foreign components – DIU
Around 50 components not produced in russia make up these missiles

The production of russian cruise missiles Kalibr and aeroballistic Kinzhal is critically dependent on foreign components.
This was stated in an interview with RBK-Ukraine by Vadym Skibitskyi, the Deputy Head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU).
According to him, approximately 50 components, which are not produced in russia, make up these missiles. Restrictions on the supply of these parts could slow down missile production in russia.
"We are currently working actively on this, working with our partners, to prevent russia from setting up and increasing the production of high-precision weapons," explained Skibitskyi.
The intelligence representative also added that the occupiers had already exhausted the stockpile of relevant components that russia manufactured before the full-scale invasion. Now, the russians are obtaining parts of the missiles through countries that have not joined the sanctions.
"Moreover, in some countries, the russian federation is creating joint ventures or opening businesses that exist a day or a week: products are brought in, and then this enterprise disappears," Skibitskyi comments.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that russia, despite sanctions, was receiving Western technologies through Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyz and Kazakh companies are exporting to russia microchips, telecommunication equipment, and other electronic components.
