Ukraine sets up headquarters in case of an attack on the Zaporizhzhia NPP
In the event of an accident, the radioactive background will last for approximately one day

Ukraine is setting up headquarters in case of a terrorist attack on the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
The headquarters includes energy specialists, representatives of the State Emergency Service, police and medics. In the next few days, the specialists will conduct training exercises on road closures, the deployment of sanitary checkpoints, and so forth.
The Minister stressed that citizens within a 200 km zone around the nuclear power station will be provided with necessary transportation. According to the official, this involves approximately 500,000 Ukrainians.
Klymenko added that in the event of an accident, the radiation background will last for about a day. During this time, residents of the affected area should remain in shelters and follow the instructions of the authorities.
